Tegucigalpa, June 2020. To continue offering medical attention to hospital patients with scheduled appointments, an action plan was created. The Plan includes the use of telemedicine and in-person consults, suggesting the following guidelines:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1. Always confirm a day ahead your child\u00b4s appointment, and follow the instructions given by our patient care team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2. The number of in-person appointments is limited, so if you have been contacted to come with your patient, we recommend the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– If the patients companion has symptoms that suggests COVID-19, then he or she should not accompany the patient to the appointment. Another family member needs to accompany the patient. Only 1 family member per patient is allowed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– Answer truthfully all questions asked upon admission to the hospital <\/p>\n\n\n\n
– Wear your mask at all times, patients under 2 years of age are not recommended to wear a mask.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– Avoid bringing bags or any other items that are not needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– Avoid wearing jewelry and do not wear gloves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– Clean your hands (with an alcohol solution or with soap and water) after touching surfaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– Keep your distance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– If you have to wait in line, follow the footprints on the hospital floor to avoid reduce crowds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– Follow all directions given by the patient care team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– Show up at the time of your appointment (not before, not after).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3. Telemedicine appointments are scheduled by our customer service staff, and we recommend the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– Be alert of your phone at the time and day customer service staff indicated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– Have your patient’s weight and height at hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– Try to be in an area where you have good reception on your phone so you can hear clearly instructions given by the doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– Follow all directions given by customer service staff<\/p>\n\n\n\n
